I am currently reading:

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows

Right now I'm at the 40% mark and I already love how fun and silly the book is including all the twists to history they've added. The humour is right up my street! 

The other day I was reading the book while I was on the tube, and there were a few parts that were really funny but I had to bite my tongue so not to laugh out loud on a tube carriage packed with people. 

Does anyone else think that it can be kind of difficult to fully enjoy a funny book out in public?

What I Am Currently Reading #5

October was a very busy and intense month, and I definitely don't see November being any less so! With the weather becoming colder, it is tempting to just curl up under the covers with a book or spend the evenings watching TV shows. But I think I will have to put that on hold till I've caught up with my studies and made big progress with my dissertation. I've been managing to get some reading done on my tube rides to university and during my lunch breaks but it does mean it is taking me much longer to finish a book!

I am currently reading: 

Persuading Annie by Melissa Nathan

The only other Melissa Nathan book I've read is 'The Nanny' and I do remember actually enjoying it so I did have some high hopes for this one. The book is written in third person which actually caught me by surprise as I was expecting to be reading from Annie's point of view. The plot is moving along very fast so I am intrigued to find out how the ending will play out.

What I Am Currently Reading #4

This week I am officially back at university, which means lectures, dissertations, and lots of time spent in the lab. This usually goes hand in hand with a decline in the amount of time I can spend reading. However, I will try and make sure that there is not a drastic decline as there has been in previous years. Fingers crossed I can keep to it. 💪

I recently received this book as a gift from a friend 😊. Ever since I read the synopsis of the book on Goodreads I had been hoping to get myself a copy. Right now, I am only 22 pages in but I can already tell how this book will be pulling at my heartstrings.

What I Am Currently Reading #3

The past week has been crazy busy, I have not been able to get some serious reading done or unfortunately write a post. But thankfully things have started to quieten down, and I'm currently engrossed in a new book. 

Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

I felt I needed a fun read so I decided to pick up Sophie Kinsella's 'Can You Keep a Secret?'

This is actually my first ever Sophie Kinsella book. I can't quite believe it - for some reason I thought I had read at least one of her books in the past. I think I can partly blame my watching Confessions of a Shopaholic way too many times!

I am about three quarters through the book and I am coming to understand why people enjoy reading Kinsella's books. It is 100% a fun read, nothing serious, perfect for summer. I am whizzing through this one right now and I can't wait to see how this book wraps up.

What I Am Currently Reading #2

The weather is amazing in the UK at the moment, lots of sunshine and little rain - perfect weather to chill outside with a book right? The two books I am currently reading were written in two completely different centuries, but funny enough both have the 'hate' vibes between the two main characters going at the beginning. I am enjoying both the books right now, but we shall see how they progress.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne 

Can't lie, this book has made my heart flutter a few times already. There have been some moments that were 'meh' for me, but I think this book is currently moving upwards and getting better - I hope it continues that way. There are certain passages in this book so far that I think were written so beautifully and I will definitely be quoting it in my review after I finish reading the book.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I happened to order about six of Jane Austen's books a while back (it was completely an impulse buy) - Pride and Prejudice is the second one on the pile to be picked up after I finished Persuasion. I've read and watched so many remakes of Pride and Prejudice, but finally I've come round to read the original which I am so far very much engrossed in. I'm at around the 30% mark so there are many more events left to unfold!

What I am currently reading? #1 (One Breath Away & Where She Went)

My TBR list is forever growing so I'm never lost for a book. But now that I'm going to be on break soon for the summer I can get through my pile quicker. At the moment I'm reading:

One Breath Away by Heather Gudenkauf (ARC via Netgalley)

I've only just began the book and it definitely already has me on my feet. The book throws you into the deep end straight from the start.

Where She Went by Gayle Forman (If I Stay #2)

It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.

I'm halfway through the book and it's already tugging at my emotions, the mood of the book is absolutely different to the first book. Furthermore it's told in Adam's point of view so you get an insight into his life which is very different to Mia's. It's great yo be able to see Mia through someone else's eyes and how much she has changed after the accident.
