TGIF (4) - Reading Blues

TGIF is a weekly feature
created and hosted by the awesome Ginger at GReads
that re-caps the week’s posts and
has a different question each week.

This Friday's Question:

Reading Blues: We all get them from time to time. What helps you overcome those reading slumps when nothing seems to grab your attention?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I totally suffer from reading blues all the time, everytime I read an amazing book I know straightaway the next book I pick a book up won't feel as awesome or appeal as much. I actually don't have any specific way of getting over the blues, it varies most the time. One way which helps me overcome the reading slumps is something I don't like doing which is taking a break from reading until the feeling goes away, sometimes it can take longer to get rid of than expected. Another way which I find helpful is by reading one of my really really really short favourite reads which only takes a matter of hours to read.

I would love to know if you have any other ways of getting rid of reading blues, leave your TGIF link in the comment box so I can check it out!

  1. Yeah, I'm not too sure how to get rid of a reading slump either. I just have to deal with it until it randomly goes away.
