About Me

Hi there!

Welcome to the The Wild Reader blog - a place where I post about all things related to books.

My name is Tas and I am just another person that really enjoys reading. I started this blog back in March 2012 when I was a fairly young teen who was exploring the world of books and blogging. Through the years I've fallen in love with countless fictional characters, been through reading slumps I thought I would never be able to crawl out from and have come to appreciate the magic of losing yourself in a book.

I am currently still busy with studies which means I need to do some serious juggling between reading books and revising. It is likely you will find me reading Young Adult fiction, but I am always up for books from any genre (romance is always a big plus). TV shows, in particular Korean dramas are one of my other great favourites so don't be surprised if there are a few odd posts about it here and there.

This blog is purely for my enjoyment and fun, as well as a chance to share what I love with everyone. I write reviews completely based on my feelings and thoughts.

If you want to talk to me anywhere else, you can find me on:
Thank you for stopping by, really appreciate the love!

  3. I would like to request that you review my debut YA novel NOLICHUCK. It's written under my pen name of Jackson Keene and published by Trebleheartbooks.com. (I have a standard publishing contract, and the novel is NOT self-published. The publisher THB has been in business for over a decade and currently has a list of over 60 active authors.)

NOLICHUCK is published both as a paperback and Ebook, and is available at Amazon.com, Kindle, Barnesandnoble.com, Nook, Sony Reader, iPad/iPhone/iBook, and publisher Trebleheartbooks.com. (I'm not sure which Indy bookstores currently carry it.)

Note: I am interested in doing an Author Interview and/or Guest Blog, too.

    STORY OVERVIEW

TJ’s just an ordinary fourteen year old kid with extraordinary problems at home and school: A broken up family from his parents’ bitter divorce, evil bullies almost every afternoon, failing grades, boring classes, snobby girls, mean teachers, cut from basketball tryouts, few friends.

Life is rough for TJ Cockrell.

And then that mysterious little green book had to go and throw him into the past. And not just any past, but into the untamed forbidding forests of 1802 eastern Tennessee along with the savage Indians, wild beasts, bloodthirsty robbers, backwoods ruffians, and log cabin living! Yup, it’s definitely not 2011 Knoxville anymore.

And he thought his present life was bad news! But TJ’s adventures are only beginning. Along the way, he fights off killer beasts and bandits and braves, meets the young Davy Crockett, gains a world of confidence in himself, finds his first real love, and is befriended by a fantastic frontier family who really has it together.

When he returns to the present, he’s a brand new person––but there's killers loose in his house, bullies waiting to beat him up at school, a pretty new girl at Highland High he's hasn't even seen yet. And the aftermath of the little green book to deal with!
