Feature and Follow (5) & TGIF (6)

Feature and Follow (5)

The blogs featured this week are Charissa Books and Underworld Love Addiction!

This week's question:

Q: Activity! Dreamcast your current read.

Currently I'm reading Born at Midnight and I'm nearly finished, I find it terribly hard to cast people as characters because I don't ever think I would do the book characters justice!

So here we go:

Kylie                                                                                                                Derek
Leven Rambin
Max Irons
Lucas

Gaspard Ulliel

Do you think I've done them justice?
If this is your first time on my blog, I hope you liked the post and if you would like to follow me you can do it via GFC or linky followers and leave the link to your post below so I can do the same!

TGIF (6)

TGIF is a weekly feature
created and hosted by the awesome Ginger at GReads
that re-caps the week’s posts and
has a different question each week.

This Friday's Question:

Show Me Your Cover: What are some of the worst book covers, but hold some of the best stories inside? Don't be embarrassed, show us your cover!

I have read quite a few books which have covers I don't think are very appealing, but like they always say 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. Some end up being the most amazing books I've read (it does happen!)

Pandemonium - The cover seems so animal like, as though the face is popping out of an animal's body *shivers*. The book itself was amazing!
City of Bones - I've actually never really liked any of the covers in the series, they just never seemed to connect with me much, there is just something about it I can't quite put my finger on.
Along for the Ride - To me it just didn't reflect the atmosphere of the book, the legs weren't appealing much to me either!

I'm not much of a fan of the Soul Screamer covers, too much of a colour blinder.
If you've seen the UK covers of the Chicagoland Vampires you wouldn't like them much either, they're really unrealistic. But both series are super awesome!

leave your TGIF link in the comment box so I can check out your choice of book covers!

  3. I agree with Pandemonium. I like to use my imagination to picture the characters rather than have such an in your face photo on the cover.

  4. a lot of people are saying Mortal Instruments and I get it, but I guess I've become used to it. I can definitely see how it would put people off...good thing the Infernal Devices books are much better. they didn't go around shirtless in Jolly Olde England, I guess (such a shame) ~dixie

  7. I haven't read the book yet but I love your choices (: I always feel that real people can't ever do the characters from book justice. It's just too weird to take out the imagination and put a real face to th characters! lol.
